The upcoming session will focus on screening for colorectal cancer, which is crucial for effective FRCS preparation.

We are excited to introduce our three guest speakers - Mr. Sam Hettiarachchi, Mr. Alan Askari, and Mr. Kawar Hashmi!

The session will be divided into three informative parts:

Here, we will summarize key statistics pertinent to screening and include a brief overview of Wilson and Jungner's Criteria for Screening!

This session of the STEER Journal Club is specifically designed for medical professionals and surgical trainees who are preparing for their Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS). Join us for a critical appraisal of a randomised controlled trial, an overview of landmark upper GI trials, and valuable tips and tricks for effective FRCS preparation for the viva.

We are honoured to have as our speakers Mr Bhaskar Kumar, an Upper GI Consultant Surgeon at NNUH and author of FRCS: Companion Cases for the Intercollegiate Exam in General Surgery, alongside Mr Alex Loh, an Upper GI ST8 Trainee at L&D.
